From the Clergy

The story of the Church has never been written by extraordinary circumstances alone, but by ordinary people who responded generously to God's call. The Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul reminds us that the strength of the Church does not lie in human perfection, but in God's grace working through lives surrendered to him.

Peter and Paul could not have been more different. Peter was a fisherman whose faith matured through moments of weakness, failure, and forgiveness. Paul was a scholar whose zeal was transformed from opposition into wholehearted discipleship. Their personalities, experiences, and ministries differed greatly, yet they were united by one conviction: Jesus Christ had changed their lives forever. That encounter became the source of their courage, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to proclaim the Gospel.

Their witness reveals an important truth for every Christian. God does not wait for perfect people before entrusting them with his mission. He calls those who are willing to be formed by his mercy. Holiness is not the absence of weakness but the courage to allow Christ to transform our weakness into faithful service.

The Church today continues to be built on this same apostolic faith. Every baptised person shares in the responsibility of strengthening the community, witnessing to the Gospel, and becoming a sign of Christ's hope in the world. Whether through prayer, acts of charity, words of encouragement, and faithful service, each of us has a place in building God's Kingdom. The legacy of Saints Peter and Paul challenges us to ask not what gifts we lack, but how generously we are willing to offer the gifts God has already entrusted to us (Fr Deepu).

Lord, give us the faith of Peter and the courage of Paul, that our lives may faithfully proclaim your Gospel every day.

Ss Peter and Paul, Solemnity - Year A (II)

Responsorial Psalm: Ps 34(33):

From all my terrors the Lord set me free

IRREGULAR MARRIAGES are those that occur outside the Catholic Church without permission. Examples include weddings in hotels, secular venues, on beaches, or Las Vegas, or in non-Catholic churches without the Bishop’s permission. These marriages are not recognised by the Church and are therefore non-sacramental and irregular. The Church offers a private service called Convalidation to rectify these situations. If you wish to speak to a priest confidentially, please contact the parish office.
